Great Podcasts for Catholic KidsCatholic Sprouts is a daily podcast for Catholic kids. These short and engaging episodes discuss vital aspects of the faith, and each concludes with a daily challenge to help the young listeners grow in virtue.
St. Stories for Kids and Saint of the Day is a weekly podcast that brings the stories of saints right to your child’s headphones. Charming and informational 5-minute episodes allow children and parents to learn from the “holy men and women who have come before us.” The episodes are timely (usually occurring around the saint’s feast day) and encourage children to embrace the rich tradition of the Catholic Church. That's the Word. Presented by Fr. James Yamauchi, every episode is a true story. The characters are real people in a pickle, or on the verge of a breakthrough, or about to make an important decision. It’s more than an interesting true story. It becomes a game to deduce who our hero is. Perhaps it’s a heroic soldier, a holy martyr, a popular entertainer, or an innovative inventor, set in the time of Rome, the feudal days, the age of exploration, the industrial revolution, or even today. Whomever the hero, whatever the place, sit back and enjoy a 5-minute true story, a wholesome tale for the whole family. |
